Everyone is welcome in our makerspace. From seasoned pros who need a space to work, to beginners who are eager to learn, there's a seat for you at Made by Hand.

Sewing & Fiber Art Classes

Hands-on, small-group workshops for all skill levels. Topics rotate regularly — past classes have covered hand-stitching basics, mending, and zipper installation.

Open Studio & Machine Time

Need a machine and a quiet place to work on your own project? Rent time in the studio by the hour. Space is equipped with domestic and specialty machines, large cutting table, and pressing station. Great for quilters, cosplayers, and small-batch makers.

Pittsburgh Fiber Friends (Stitch Circle)

A casual, recurring meetup for anyone who wants to sew, mend, knit, or just be around people who make things. Bring your project, your questions, or nothing at all. No skill level required.
